Nuckin’ Futs

Posted by lunofajro on November 30, 2006

I don’t know how anyone feels about immigration but I just read the most infuriating article of the subject.  I am very leary about going into Tennessee anytime in the near future….these people are Nuckin’ Futs!  I hate racists and this is what it sounds like…racism!  Read the article HERE.

In good news…….WOOHOO for South Africa who signed into law today a law that takes effect tomorrow, that gives homosexual couples the right to marry.  Read HERE.

In even better news….New Hampshire is the first state to offer free cancer vaccine to girls age 11-18.  We will be taking our daughters to get this vaccine at the next Doctor’s appointment.  Read article HERE.

I feel very strongly for our illegals. We, as in United States citizens, did not care how many illegals came in when we needed them. Now we don’t need the cheap labor and they want them out. UNFAIR. As I teacher I see how the segment of the population that is hurt the most is the children of the illegals. They cannot get a driver’s license. They cannot go to college. They cannot get a decent job. They are forced to pay for illegal documents that enable them to eek out a living. UNFAIR. I think we need to legalize all who have been here a year or so, and then work on our immigration laws.

Ok, I will get down off my soapbox now.

I agree completely Kathie. And I have noticed of the racist assholes that they don’t mind immigrants as long as they are white immigrants. Unfortunately, I don’t think the idiot lawmakers will come up with a fair solution.

I agree with you, the whole “illegal” is a concern. It’s ok to use them for cheap labor but when they look for rights there is a problem? I think the country needs to make up their minds, number one if we don’t want illegal immigration then we need to crack down on the companies trying to get something for nothing. And we need to force the companies to pay all individuals regardless of race a fair living wage, something $5.15 an hour will never accomplish.

I am also happy to read the article about the vaccine, I will be even happier when that becomes more widespread.

Anyone that EVER tells me that the minimum wage should not raised I tell them to watch the episode of “30 days” that deals with minimum wage. The fellow that does the show and his girl friend live for a month making very little money. They even make more than minimum (they made about 7.50 an hour a piece) and at the end of the month they still owe hundreds of dollars.

I saw that show I also saw his documentary on fast food. I think they should pass out a book or something so every american can understand what it is really like. Because I do feel there is a disconnect between most americans and the working poor. I always get the feeling that the average joe doesn’t understand the large percentage of people who work 40 hours a week and still live in poverty.

I think that a large percentage don’t really give a shit about the working poor. I hate to be so cynical about it but I can’t help it.
