~~S is finished with the Driver’s Ed classwork and tonight started the driving part. She drives tonight from 6-9pm. Not sure how I feel about sticking a nervous teenager behind the wheel of a car at NIGHT. Anyway, she was so nervous when she left the house. I told her not to be nervous and no matter what, don’t hit anything. LOL
~~and that is the most exciting thing to happen around here today. It will happen all week long and then she will be able to go get her permit. Then, the real fun begins. We will call it “Adventures in Driving”…..ought to be interesting….at least a little.
~~I got very little sleep last night so I decided to lay down and take a small nap. I should NOT have done that. And I do know better. I slept for almost 4 hours. Ah well. I know how to fix it all. Just 2 tylenol PM around 10 or 11pm and all is fixed.
~~I discovered today that I can watch all the “Good Eats” episodes I want on You Tube. Good Eats is my favorite food show on the food network. I just love Alton Brown.
His “Feasting on Asphalt” series was really good too. He has 2 “FoA”. The 1st one is the traveling from the South to California and the food along the way.
The second is the traveling from New Orleans at the end of the Mississippi River to the beginning of the Mississippi River in Ohio.
The rules are: They can’t go by interstate or large state highway and they can’t stop at any chain eatery. If they can’t find a good place to eat, they cook for themselves at their campsite.
Each of FoA 1 and 2 have 4 or so parts so that is a total of 8 or so shows and I love them all!!
I also found a nice little site called The List Universe. I look around there every couple of days and last night I found something that makes me very happy. One of the lists is “10 Brilliant Complete Movies Online“.

I was so happy that I could watch “It’s a Wonderful Life” online. Justin hates this movie……well, hate is probably too strong of a word. He is just tired of it I think. Every Christmas I have a little something I do. I watch “It’s a Wonderful Life”, “Miracle on 34th Street” (the original not the remake), “White Christmas” , “A Christmas Story”, and “A Christmas Carol” (the one with Patrick Stewart). I have done this for years and I think he has come to dread my viewing choices during that time. LOL
