It snowed pretty good last night. At 2am, when Justin got home from work, we had roughly 5 inches on the ground. But, this morning it started with the freezing rain which packed the snow down to about 3 or 4 inches with the ice on top. It is beautiful outside and I love to just sit at a window and look at it. I really love to watch it snow but the actual “fall” happened over night so I didn’t get to watch that part.
Days like this remind me of Chloe. She used to L.O.V.E. the snow. She would roll on her back, pant, jump around and wag her tail. It was like pulling teeth to get her back into the house. I think it was her most favorite thing besides large puddles of water. LOL
Schools are closed today and the girls are outside “playing” as I write this. They are a bit old for “playing” but they and the other kids in the neighborhood have snowball fights and I believe they even attempt a snowman project. All I ask from them is to stay off my side yard…I want that one stretch of ground to remain untouched so I can look at it’s beauty until it melts.
As promised: Pictures. These are of the side yard facing the woods taken this morning during the freezing rain portion of our little weather situation. You can see part of the shed roof in these pictures. Don’t let the lack of snow on that roof fool you. The freezing rain knocked all the snow from the steep sides.
